Welcome to my new website! I have recently moved my shop back to the basement in my home due to high overhead costs at the shop in town. Please come see me at 128 Forest Oaks Dr., Dobson, NC. I have had a second driveway installed just past the house for use by my customers. There is plenty of parking available.
I also would like to tell you about my background in taxidermy. I have been in taxidermy since 1975 and skilled in many areas of wildlife art. I have been with the North Carolina Taxidermy Association for many years and have attended many seminars taught by some of the best taxidermists in the state and country. Also served for two years on the state board of directors for the NCTA. I have also been a member of the National Taxidermy Association for many years.
I have been the taxidermy instructor at Surry Community College in Dobson, NC for the last 7 years. We offer a yearly beginner's course and another year for advanced learning. Currently we have students from NC, VA, TN, SC, GA, and WV. If you are interested in learning the art of taxidermy, please log on to Surry Community College website at
www.surryThe college also hosts the Surry Community College Taxidermy Mini Course once a year which is a spin off from our taxidermy courses. I also conduct seminars in the mini courses, we have had taxidermists from many parts of the country. Last year there were people from 17 different states.
